How Can Complete ID™ Alerts Help You?
No one can monitor their identity and their credit reports 24/7, but it’s not necessary with Complete ID.
Complete ID comes with around-the-clock credit report monitoring, dark web scanning, criminal record review and more. This allows Complete ID to send alerts as soon as suspicious activity takes place.
Unlike many credit monitoring services, Complete ID alerts are complimentary with your monthly service fee. Each alert comes with instructions on how to respond, so subscribers can cut through the confusion and get the support they need for a faster and easier recovery.
What is a Complete ID Alert?
After signing up for Complete ID, identity monitoring begins right away. A new subscriber can expect to get an alert on their mobile app or online account, or via email, in as little as 48 hours, with instructions on how to respond.
Subscribers should pay attention to these notifications since quick action may be needed, like calling the fraud department at a credit card company or contacting the police.
If necessary, the alert may also advise reaching out to one of Complete ID’s dedicated Identity Restoration Specialists. These agents can help with filing paperwork, making calls, placing fraud alerts, ordering documents and more.
Alerts don’t always mean something bad happened. In fact, Complete ID sends alerts to notify users of positive events, like when their credit score increases or their debt is paid off. If you recognize the activity posted in the notification, no action is needed.
What alerts are included with Complete ID?
Complete ID runs an extensive data check as soon as a new user signs up. This initial check includes searching for records and databases for 10 years back and searching for Social Security numbers since birth. Complete ID also includes ongoing, comprehensive monitoring and alerts. While the three most common alerts are real-time credit inquiries, new accounts and neighborhood watch, a list of common alerts Complete ID provides includes:
Credit Monitoring Alerts1
Complete ID comes with Three Bureau Credit Monitoring, so users get alerts when suspicious activity shows up on any of their three credit reports.
For example, a user will get a real-time credit inquiry alert if someone applies for or opens up a credit account in their name, and Complete ID reaches out if a new mailing address shows up on a credit reports.
Complete ID’s monthly VantageScore®2 Credit Update provides subscribers with changes on their Experian®
credit score and debt balances.
Criminal Record Alerts
Complete ID scans warrants, jail booking data and millions of other court records for signs of criminal identity theft. If a fraudster uses a Complete ID subscriber’s name during an arrest or a court proceeding, the subscriber can be alerted in as little as 36 hours.
Financial Account Alerts
After signing up for Complete ID, users get daily monitoring of financial services databases across the country. Complete ID will send an alert if someone applies for or opens a new account in a user’s name, including a bank account, credit card or auto loan.
Dark Web Alerts
Complete ID’s Dark Web Surveillance scans the dark web for identity information and stolen credentials, like credit card numbers, passwords and Social Security numbers (SSNs). Users are alerted if their sensitive personal information is found.
Mail Change Alerts
An unexpected change of mailing address can be a huge red flag, since a criminal may be attempting to reroute checks or other sensitive items. Complete ID monitors USPS mail change requests and alerts subscribers to any changes associated with their name.
Neighborhood Watch Alerts
Complete ID’s Neighborhood Watch Monitoring scans state registries each month and sends users alerts if a registered sex offender moves into their neighborhood.
Alternative Loan Alerts
New subscribers will receive an initial Alternative Loan Monitoring report that includes data from the past five years. Complete ID also monitors ongoing activity from alternative loan companies, including online and in-person payday lenders. Subscribers will be alerted if their personal information appears in an alternative loan application or a new account.
Social Security Number Alerts
Complete ID subscriptions include Social Security number monitoring, with initial monitoring of records since birth. Subscribers are alerted if their Social Security number shows up in the wrong place, like the dark web, or if a new name or address are found in association with their Social Security number.
If a subscriber locks their Experian credit file, they will receive alerts when someone tries to pull their credit report. They will also receive alerts when they lock and unlock to confirm the action.
